For 45 years, the fear I had of speaking invaded, stifled and sabotaged every area of my life! My life was so small it was a wonder I could even breath. In my career, whenever promotion that involved management was offered, I found a reason to leave. In relationships, I always had to wait to be chosen and never was able to choose someone that I desired. People who knew me wondered why someone with my talents and abilities stayed deep in the background and created such a tiny life. Now, its very different. I have applied the systems of Toastmasters and used the tools of Access Energy Transformation to change disability into ability. I now speak in groups large or small, with ease; and dare I say it ... from joy. People who have read this book say that their lives have changed and that they too have found freedom. Who would have ever though that someone like me could have facilitated life-change for another person. Will you allow this book to contribute changing your life too?Yours in outstanding speaking, Rear Jacket
To become a great speaker, you must become conscious of the greatness of you and speak from that ... your being. As a conscious speaker, you will be aware of and willing to, receive the audience without judgement or expectation. Rather than forcing your point-of-view, you will create for them an invitation to perceive the difference you are presenting; you will empower them to know what they know and choose what is right for them. Will Public Speaking Be The Death Of You provides a very different point-of-view. It is refreshing and remarkably contemporary. Whether you are a student, a parent or a professional; this book will provide enormous clarity and more possibility for you to speak out as you, the greatness of you and all of you. “What if language, as your apparent only choice for communication, created misunderstanding and separation? What if only a little of what you say is truly being comprehended by those you speak with? What if no one was really hearing you, perceiving you or receiving you; and what if ‘no one’ included ... YOU?” SJO. What else is possible for you? To purchase - Quick LInk SamplesChapter: Talking To Your Peers (PDF) - Table of Contents (PDF) Review by Jacqueline Hamilton. Australia In one word, "possibility" was a positive event that was now part of their universe. My professional life has also been enriched by asking of the universe, what else is possible. I went from a student in the 1970's who barely passed Year 10, to a middle-aged woman putting together a research proposal for a PHD after reading the book. Same brain cells only using them differently. I strongly recommend this book to all in the human services field, particularly psychologists, psychiatrists and therapists not only for their clients but their own lives. I would suggest you read it many times, as there are layers upon layers of concepts that resonate after many readings. After spending thousands of dollars on text books, self-improvement books, self-help books etc. this is the best value for money that I have received for myself and my clients. Andrew Rigg. Australia
